My chest has been really quite tight this week, I know flu like symptoms are one of RA's little tricks,
so is this part of it to, or is this something else.
I had a very tiring achey week, but feel alot better today, except for this tight feeling

thanks

Oh Minxie, who knows? What a game of soldiers this is isn't it?

I suspect it might be a bit of a virus type thing, lowered immune system makes us quite susceptible to all sorts of bugs and things. Best to take things easy, drink plenty, keep warm and don't get over tired. If it doesn't settle, or gets worse best to make an appointment with a GP in case it's the start of an infection.

Hope you feel better soon,

Hi Minxie

I agree with Lyn. The meds make us more likely to get infections and mxt can make you feel like you have flu. It should settle down if it is that. I think also when you have this illness you tend to put everything down to that so there is a danger that you can overlook something that needs dealing with separately so better to check with doctor. Hope it clears up soon

Hi Minxie
I had the same problem last week, so doubled my asthma inhalers which seemed to sort out the problem. If you are asthmatic, that might help.
My daughter is now on antibiotics and an eye infection, so I'm hoping I don't get that from her!! So am keeping inhalers doubled for another week to make sure!!
